Biography
The person behind the platform
Walid Arfush is the Founder of SN Media and Advisor to Newsmax, with three decades of experience across television, media leadership, public commentary, and international cultural influence.
Born in Tripoli in 1971 and trained in journalism in Ukraine, he co-founded the multilingual radio station SuperNova FM in Kyiv in 1995. He went on to become general producer of the TET channel, Deputy Director-General of Ukraine's First National Channel, and the driving force behind the launch of the Ukrainian edition of Euronews in 2011 — later serving as Vice President of Euronews and president of HDFashion & Lifestyle TV.
Today he is the founder and public face of SN Media and, since 2026, an advisor to Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy — who pointed to Walid's “extensive international media experience and understanding of global television markets” — helping the American network expand across the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey and Africa. His public work also includes serving as the first UN Goodwill Ambassador combating AIDS in Ukraine.
